Patrick C Rock, JD

Patrick Rock joined as our General Counsel in November 2019. He brings more than 30 years of combined law firm and corporate in-house legal experience, with a focus on the biopharmaceutical industry.

His clients have covered the gamut, including both public and private clinical and commercial stage companies and multinational joint research consortia. His senior executive roles include Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Targacept, Inc. and Vice President and General Counsel for 21st Century Biodefense, Inc. (a UPMC venture). Prior to that, Mr. Rock was an equity and Managing Partner in the Washington DC office of Gardner, Carton & Douglas LLP (n/k/a Faegre Drinker), where he managed over 100 lawyers and staff.

He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (BA) and The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law (JD).
